Breakfast at Glenelg – 20 January 2013

On Sunday 20/1/13 we had our annual breakfast at Glenelg Surf Lifesaving Club. This year we had around 60 club members and their families attend which is similar to previous years and although the  breakfast was not quite the standard as before it was good to see so many club families enjoying the meal together. This was our third time at this venue so the Social Committee will be looking for an alternate venue for 2014.

Walking back to Wigley Reserve, we returned to our cars, having parked there earlier in the morning in preparation for FB-EK Holden Day. We had our prime spot at the South-East corner and spent the day with club members and looking at the other cars on display – not only the early models but many late model cars also. With our gazebos erected and being close to the pines, we had plenty of shade. This venue is quite good for families as the playground is now sheltered by large sails. The day was most successful and our group of cars attracted many people viewing them and many questions regarding our cars.

Any suggestions for next year’s venue would be appreciated. The club enjoys the outing with other like-minded people and we have been assured of our corner at Wigley Reserve in the future, so perhaps just a breakfast place needed.
